History

Archaeological Park Recópolis is an archaeological site preserving the ruins of a Visigothic city in Spain, approximately 2 kilometres south of Zorita de los Canes. The city was founded in 578 by Leovigild, a sixth-century Visigothic king. The Visigoths were a Germanic people who established a kingdom in the Iberian Peninsula during late antiquity.
