Overview
The Byzantine Museum of Argolis is housed in the Kapodistrias Barracks, located in the center of Argos, Greece. The original structure of the barracks dates back to the second Venetian period, when Venice controlled Argos.
In 1992, plans were approved to transform the western wing of the Kapodistrias Barracks into a Museum of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Art. Renovation work began in 2005 to adapt this historic military building for cultural and educational purposes, preserving its historical significance while giving it a new role in the community.
