Kushan History and Surviving Sites
The Kushan state ruled territories across Bactria and parts of South Asia during the early centuries AD. Buddhist foundations developed around cities and routes, while urban settlements supported residential quarters, workshops and religious buildings. Surviving remains are especially informative in the Taxila region and northern Bactria.
The sites collection links these archaeological places with articles explaining their Kushan phases. Earlier foundations, later rebuilding and protective modern structures are identified separately.
