Spanish Kingdoms and Empire: History and Historic Sites

Spanish history includes the distinct kingdoms of Asturias, León, Castile, Navarre and the territories of the Crown of Aragon, as well as the later monarchy and empire. Their castles, royal palaces, cathedrals and city defences preserve successive forms of patronage.
